This position is ideal for an experienced teacher who wishes to take on new responsibility and lead Social Science at Harris Academy Battersea. The successful candidate will receive the excellent support of an internal academy CPD programme but also externally across the Federation. You will join a very positive, willing and committed team who will challenge and support you.

What we are looking for

- Provide leadership of several subjects including Health and Social Care; Psychology and Sociology
- Be an outstanding teacher, with expert subject knowledge and a current understanding of the A Level Sociology and Psychology and BTEC/CTEC assessment model at KS4 and KS5 for Health and Social Care
- Ability to teach Psychology is desirable but not essential
- Be an inspirational leader, leading by example to promote a collaborative culture in the department
- Be innovative in their approach to teaching and learning, driving forward exciting educational initiatives that improve pupils’ learning experiences and maximise their progress
- Have excellent communication skills to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders
