An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team within the Faculty Social Care and Community Practice team at Bradford College.
We are looking for two graduate Social Workers with professional recognition (HCPC) who have desirably completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) with young people and adults ideally in an education setting. You will be working collaboratively with fieldwork practitioners, academics and other stakeholders using client centred, multi-disciplinary approaches.
The Social Worker role is within the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team which is part of the Faculty of Social Care and Community Practice. The appointees will work with other qualified and experienced Social Workers to provide a support service for students and staff in the College. The Social Workers will work with Progress Coaches, Lecturers, Student Services, Welfare Advisors and ‘The Student Base’ which operates to an informal learning/Youth Work methodology to support young people in education. They will also work closely with external partners to provide a wrap-around service to support young people and adults in education. We are looking for reflective practitioners who are able operate autonomously within the safeguarding structure and who are able to use their experience to influence practice and policy.
A check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
Bradford College is an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
