Central Foundation is located on the Old Street Silicon Roundabout and at the heart of the Tech City, which offers a range of amazing opportunities for our students. We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Sociology who will also lead on the course. The position will be suitable for both a newly qualified and a more experienced teacher. A TLR is attached to this role for leading the subject. The Sociology course forms part of our extensive 6th form provision. The role is available either on 3 days/week basis to teach only Sociology, or as a full-time position that will require the successful candidate to teach Sociology as well as some periods of Citizenship, PSHE and RE.

Located on the Old Street Silicon Roundabout and at the heart of the Tech City, the School is one of the top performing non-selective all boys schools in the country. The students’ outcomes have been consistently outstanding both at KS4 and KS5. In 2019, 82% of our Year 11 students achieved a good pass (Grade C/4 or above) in both English and Maths while 36% of Year 11 students achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9. The School was rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2015.

We offer a broad curriculum with a focus on academic subjects as well as vocational education. Our extra-curricular provision supports the student experience in classroom. Sport, Music, Drama, Art, Debating or Cooking are very popular with our students who over the years developed their talents and skills in many subject areas.
