Sociology Teacher

Sociology Teacher with the ability to teach a second subject  at KS3 or 4 required for an immediate or January 2020 start or earlier by mutual agreement at the Qatar Petroleum Schools based in Mesaieed in Qatar.

The ideal applicant will be able to teach Sociology and one of the following subjects to KS4 Media Studies, English, Humanities.

To help deliver this we are seeking a top quality, Sociology professional with excellent experience and references who will:

• Have up-to-date experience of teaching Sociology through to A Level;
• Preferably be able to teach a second subject (such as Travel and Tourism or Sociology) to at least KS4;
• Provide a relevant and challenging learning experience for all students;
• Have knowledge and experience of using innovative pedagogical approaches within planning, teaching and learning;
• Provide language rich learning environments to ensure rapid English language acquisition;
• Ensure the students are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment;
• Maintain accurate formative and summative assessment records that link to all learning;
• Provide critical analysis of the progress, intervention and achievement for all children;
• Actively participate in and offer areas of staff CPD.
