We are a unique school in Buckinghamshire offering a Catholic education for children from the age of three in our Nursery to 19 in our Sixth Form.

It is our aim to provide the best education for our pupils. We believe in placing the child at the heart of all that we do knowing that it is a real privilege for us, as educators, to walk alongside the children as they grow in their faith and knowledge. As a through school, we are particularly blessed to see students grow from the very beginning of their formal education to their final steps before further study, work and life beyond school.

Duties and responsibilities for this appointment will be determined by the skill-set of the successful candidate, allowing for maximum flexibility and the opportunity for us to create a truly exciting and dynamic Senior Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for existing or aspiring leaders to diversify their skill-set and experience portfolio.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with strong leadership and management skills, presence and drive and are willing to support every individual to fulfil their potential.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience at primary or secondary level; candidates with a pastoral background are encouraged.

We would welcome applications from candidates who aspire to Headship and will support them in every way to achieve this

We are a Catholic community and strive to uphold strong spiritual and moral values, both in and outside the classroom. Applicants should be practising Catholics. As a Catholic School we believe in educating and living by the Gospel Values. It is for this reason that we have built our school community with the children at the centre, of all that we do.

Values and vision

St Michael’s Catholic School educates its students through the teachings of Christ. The school believes in developing students' spirituality and faith to prepare them for adult life. It also aims to ensure pupils have respect for one another. By praying regularly and worshipping as a collective, children are able to develop a better understanding of the themes throughout the liturgical year.

Ofsted report

“Teaching is usually good and some is outstanding. Teachers have good subject knowledge, present introductions clearly to classes and support students well with their learning. Teachers check on learning regularly in lessons and adapt activities where necessary so progress remains good. Students have positive attitudes to learning and behave well around the school. They say they feel safe in the school and they have a good awareness of how to keep themselves safe in different situations.
