Job overview

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Spanish Language Teacher (1 day per week) to our happy, vibrant London primary school with a strong Catholic ethos.  There is also an opportunity for a PPA Teacher for up to 4 days per week.  The two roles could be combined or offered separately.

You will have the opportunity to work in a ‘friendly calm and welcoming environment’ (Ofsted March 2014) within the diocese of Westminster and an excellent tri-borough local authority.

You should be able to:

  • Contribute fully to the Catholic ethos of the School.
  • Have high expectations of teaching, learning and behaviour.
  • Promote the wellbeing of pupils, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure appropriate and engaging Spanish language curriculum provision.
  • To assist in the preparation of reports as necessary.

Visits to the School to meet the Head, children and staff are welcome and can be arranged by calling the School on 020-8969 5566.

To apply please complete the Catholic Education Service application form, (available on-line at http://www.catholiceducation.org.uk/employment-documents/application-forms or in hard copy from the School office).

Please return your completed, signed application form, (in paper copy) by  12p.m. on Tuesday, 28th February 2017, enclosing a copy of your most recent performance management report.  Interviews will be held in early March.
(If you do not hear from us your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.)

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to a half term’s probationary period.  The appointment requires an enhanced DBS check to be completed, is subject to satisfactory employment references, identity and safeguarding checks and will be probationary for three months.
