Spanish Teacher

Culford SchoolSuffolk

Culford is a boarding and day school for over 750 children aged 1 to 18, set in 480 acres of beautiful Suffolk parkland, with an 18th century grade II mansion at its centre and three separate schools: the Pre-Prep & Nursery (ages 1 to 7); the Prep (ages 7 to 13); and the Senior School (ages 13 to 18).

We believe in educating the whole person to deliver a well-rounded, fulfilled individual through excellent provision in both Sports and Academics. Everything we do is informed by our firm belief that we wish to develop pupils that are flexible, dynamic, innovative and resilient to meet the challenges of their life ahead of them.

The Role

We are looking for a strong team player and a dynamic teacher to contribute to the MFL department and the continued implementation of new GCSE and A Level specifications. Culford believes in professional and personal development and will seek to support the successful candidate in all areas. Teaching in the Senior School at Culford was judged as Excellent in our last ISI inspection (2020). We value dynamism and risk-taking, and colleagues are given freedom to inspire pupils in ways that suit them and meet the pupils’ needs.

The successful candidate will:

Teach Spanish to pupils of a range of ability, from Fourth Form through to A Level (Years 9 to 13)

Contribute to the life of the department through curriculum design, creation of shared resources and the running of academic clinics

Contribute to the cultural programme of the department through taking part in key enrichment events such as European Languages Day and trips abroad
