We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to lead our Inclusion Team. This role will involve leading on inclusion for the school to maximise learner outcomes. We want an experienced teacher who has passion and enthusiasm alongside the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in their care. You will also be an excellent teacher and know how to model effective practice for learners with a full range of additional learning needs to ensure their needs are addressed in the most effective way.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated teacher looking for significant career development. You will have the ability to teach across the key stages and feel confident in leading your fellow colleagues to success.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be a qualified SENCO
  • be a qualified teacher with the knowledge and experience of teaching learners with special educational needs
  • have experience of leading and managing staff in developing and implementing effective provision for the whole range of vulnerable learners including EAL
  • have good literacy and mathematical skills
  • be hard working and adaptable to change
  • have a secure understanding and knowledge of observing children’s learning
  • have knowledge and understanding of record preparation and keeping in relation to SEND learners
  • be able to evidence leading on improving learner outcomes
