We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to setup and lead the SEN-D department in our brand new purpose built school. This role provides an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the SEN-D provision in the opening year of Hampton Gardens and leading the department as the school grows. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding SENCo to:
• Lead the Achievement Support Department to support students with special educational needs, and those will mobility issues
• Be committed to improving standards of learning and achievement of SEND students
• Be an outstanding teacher with a passion for learning
• Reporting directly to the Head of School (Year 1)
• Manage a small team of Teaching Assistants
• Be an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of leading students to achieve outstanding results
• Embrace creativity and innovation and will always be looking for the very best practice in teaching
The role would be attractive for an experienced SENCo who would like to take on the challenge of setting up a department in a new school and leading the department as the school grows. Equally the role would suit someone with some SEN-D experience who is looking for their first step into leading a SEN-D department.
