The School

Qatar International School is a 3-18 international school that operates a British system of Education based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

These include our most gifted and talented young people, those who need English language support, and any children with specific learning difficulties. You will work closely with all departments, including our EAL/BML team.

The Location

Doha is the capital city and central focus of Qatar. The city has a large proportion of expats and as a result is extremely diverse. Qatar offers a warm, sunny climate throughout the year. Expats can visit the souqs for spices and traditional clothing, enjoy local food and drinks in the streets. There are various modern malls throughout the city. There are also many modern areas in Doha to visit in the evenings including international restaurants offering excellent food.

The Role

If you are an enthusiastic and well-qualified SEN practitioner (Primary or Secondary background) – with broad spectrum experience of SEN strategies and best practice – we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing, planning, directing and promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning, which will ensure the excellent progress of our SEN students.

You’ll have high standards and expectations in every element of your work.

• Hold relevant teaching qualifications and ideally SENCO qualification or a desire to work towards this.
• Have extensive teaching experience, especially in the field of SEN (either Primary or Secondary).
• Have experience of raising outcomes for students with a wide variety of SEN requirements.

Salary

The Package

Tax free -Teaching salary paid in Qatari Riyals.
This equates to a yearly tax-free salary dependent on exchange rate and teaching experience.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be UK qualified teachers with a relevant teaching qualification including QTS. The school can consider applications from strong Newly Qualified Teachers.
