Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a part-time Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching support team and to work in a local primary school in Gateshead. The successful Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role is to start September 2018 and will continue until the July 2019. Part-time hours include working Monday to Friday from 11.30 until 15.30 each day.
This larger than average sized primary school are looking for a committed and successful teaching assistant to work alongside a child with Special Education Needs (SEN) based in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom. The candidate will work alongside outstanding leadership and supportive staff to ensure the child continue to be offered the support to improve throughout the remainder of year.
The successful Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and must have previous experience working with children with SEND. The desired teaching assistant will be working closely with the SENDCO and class teacher to deliver the best possible care for the children under their care.
To be considered for the position of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant you must:
- Have experience supporting children in primary education with SEND
- Have experience supporting children in primary education with EYFS
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary School Staff
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
