Smart Teachers is recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic part time Special Education Needs (SEN) teacher to work in a prestigious all-boys preparatory school in Windsor, Berkshire. Starting in September, this is a long term role with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. Based in an attractive rural location, this school has excellent facilities including modern, well-resourced classrooms, a swimming pool and sports hall, an ICT centre and a library.

About the Role:

  • Part time SEN teaching role – Dyslexia and Learning difficulties
  • September 2016 start with the potential to go permanent
  • Long term role until the end of the academic year
  • Teaching students aged 3 to 13 years on a one to one basis and/or small groups
  • Tailoring / creating work schemes alongside current class teachers to accommodate individual needs
  • Doesn’t involve working with any physical needs

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / equivalent overseas qualifications
  • Have previous experience working in a UK-based setting especially with children who have special needs
  • Ability to teach English from KS1-3 and ideally would have done this in an independent/international school setting
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Possess recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
