Smart Teachers is recruiting for a SEN TA / Special Needs teaching assistant to join a ‘Good’ three-form entry primary school in Kingsbury. This full time SEN TA / Special Needs teaching assistant position is available for an immediate start and will be contracted on a temporary basis. The school is looking to appoint a caring SEN TA / Special Needs teaching assistant to support two new children in Reception who have joined the school in September. The successful SEN TA / Special Needs teaching assistant will support one child in the morning and another child in the afternoon. Both children require academic and social support but are described as being “very sweet natured”. The school are looking to recruit a SEN TA / Special Needs teaching assistant with the ability to be patient and proactive. Previous experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential. The school strives to create an enjoyment of learning and provides both in house and external opportunities for development. The school is set in an old Victorian building, with KS2 located in a new building. The school also has an onsite ARP that caters for children with ASD.

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN TA / Special Needs Teaching Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:

• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
