Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Required to start in September, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support a nominated child under the overall direction of the SENDCO and Class teacher, and in partnership with an existing staff member. Hours: 8:30am – 3:10pm.

Their work is primarily to foster the participation of the nominated pupil in the social and academic processes of the school; seek to enable the pupil to become a more independent learner; and help to raise standards of achievement for the nominated pupil. A background knowledge in medicine/nursing would be advantageous.

This post is exempt from the provision of the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced disclosure.
