Are you an ambitious senior leader looking for a new challenge? Are you driven to make a difference? Do you believe passionately in investing in people so that they can continue to grow professionally?

This is an exciting new role for our Trust, we are seeking to appoint an experienced mission-aligned, values-driven Executive Leader. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an impressive, measurable, and sustained record of crafting a purposeful, motivational, and inclusive culture with exceptional pedagogy at the heart. They will have evidence of leading and implementing strategy with rigour and clarity, investing in people, and demanding remarkably high standards. They will have expertise in all aspects of delivering a remarkable education in special schools and have recent leadership expertise in this sector.

The right candidate will be highly ambitious for our Trust and work to meet our aim to be in the top 10% of all MATs (with current schools). They will work with the CEO and the executive team in growing our family of schools. They will be passionate about creating remarkable schools where no child is left behind and have the aptitude to work at an executive level, yet the humility to work on the ‘front line’ to do whatever it takes to provide great learning in every classroom for every child and young person.

Initially this role will involve investing a part of the week in our special primary school and the line-management of special school and primary school Heads along with adding school improvement capacity across all 3 phases (primary mainstream, special, secondary mainstream). An interest and the flexibility to line-manage mainstream leaders as well as special is vital.

Why join us?

We are currently a diverse family of 10 schools: Primary, Secondary and Special. We are proud of our clarity around our principles of alignment and our value for diversity at an individual and school level. There is still work to do to further develop our school improvement and accountability framework and the successful candidate will work with the CEO and COO on developing this. Our Trust is determined that everyone has the power to lead and that we serve our local community in action as well as words. All our leaders are committed to being supported and challenged to be better tomorrow than they are today and are all genuinely excited about the next phase in our journey to remarkable. If you are hungry to develop yourself further as a Trust leader, this is the role for you.

If you are interested in this role, please make an appointment for an informal conversation with the CEO by contacting Jill Vinnicombe, Executive PA to the CEO on 01274 771444 Ext 19019 or by email at becjxv@beckfoot.org.

Please complete our online application form and send in a formal letter addressed to the CEO explaining how your experience to date prepares you for the role, why you want to work for Beckfoot Trust and your vision for leadership. In addition, please include a 1 page impact document that clearly demonstrates your record of measurable and sustained school improvement in your roles to date.

Relocation expenses may be considered for the successful candidate subject to eligibility.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and we expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful staff will be requested to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
