Tes is supporting the appointment of a Special School Headteacher to join a School based in Ealing.
They are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Headteacher to take the School into its next stage of development.
The School is a maintained special school in the London Borough of Ealing and caters for students aged 11-19 with moderate or severe learning difficulties. A large number of students also have autism or other complex needs.
They currently have 226 pupils on roll and 110 members of staff over two closely located sites. They have high quality facilities including: a new main building which opened in 2020; an award-winning outdoor classroom with woodland learning spaces; well-equipped classrooms; specialist food technology room; design technology, science, art, drama and music rooms; and a range of therapy and intervention rooms.
Their shared vision is to discover, foster and celebrate the qualities of every young person in preparation for adulthood, so that they can live a fulfilled and meaningful life in their community. They offer a stimulating and enriching curriculum which provides a wide range of exciting, personalised learning opportunities and enables the students to develop essential life skills in order to become as independent as possible.
They have a committed and highly skilled workforce, an established and enthusiastic Senior Leadership team, a warm and supportive board of governors, and, of course, the most amazing young people who inspire them each and every day.
You must be an experienced senior leader with a passion for special education. You must have the ability and enthusiasm to ensure that everyone involved in the life of the school are able to help all children and young people to achieve their potential.
