Integrated Services for Learning is a multi-disciplinary service comprising, Specialist Advisory Teachers, Educational Psychologists, and specialist support staff, statutory SEND services.

Our teams work with children and young people with a range of complex needs.  This includes children in the early years, with autism and other communication difficulties, sensory and physical impairments and also those who require educational support for medical absence.

A key function of ISL SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) is to ensure that the educational and developmental progress of children and young people (0-25), with a range of SEND, is met in line with the Hertfordshire Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy and HCC strategic objectives.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced qualified teacher looking for a new challenge. You are invited to apply to join our team of Specialist Advisory Teachers, working successfully throughout Hertfordshire to support children and young people, their families and educational setting.

You will have recent experience supporting children in schools or currently work in an advisory service.  You also need a thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills, work well within a team and be able to work to deadlines

You will support families of CYP (0 -25) with a Visual Impairment and their schools and settings. Experience of teaching Visually Impaired CYP is essential and ideally you will be a qualified Teacher for pupils with a Visual Impairment.  We will, however, consider any suitable candidate and will support the necessary post graduate training which must be completed within the prescribed timescale.

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to travel across the county, therefore a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
