We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Specialist Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary SEMH specialist provision.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require structure, stability, and strong positive role models. In this role, you will support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs through a combination of 1:1 and small-group work.
You will help pupils re-engage with learning, manage their emotions, and develop positive behaviour strategies. Your daily work will involve adapting to individual needs, recognising early signs of distress, and providing calm, nurturing support that helps pupils succeed.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience of supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with vulnerable learners
• Willingness to complete Team Teach training (if not already trained)
