Nicholas Hamond Academy is a school on the move. At the heart of Academy Transformation Trust, we can boast new leadership, we certainly have the potential to be 'Good if not Outstanding' and a World Class Curriculum Mark. But that’s only part of the story. Our students have represented the region to the House of Commons, created a “reverse advent calendar” to support the needy at Christmas, and written their own rap number to celebrate the history of Swaffham. Going the extra mile to deliver Good and Outstanding outcomes, you will shape the teaching of Science to make it a subject of choice at both GCSE and A-level. What’s more, you will take the strategic lead in developing Science provision across a number of academies, giving subject heads the stimulation they need to take students’ achievements to the next level. This will involve forming involving interactive forums, supporting the moderation of teacher assessments and sharing a clear vision of the future – so every day will bring different challenges.
An exceptional practitioner with an impressive track record in teaching Science, you will bring everything it takes to hit the ground sprinting. Driving school improvement should be second nature to you, and you will be a skilled and seasoned manager with innate ability to get the best from staff and students alike. Finally, it is vital that you can bring real innovation and imagination to everything you do, whilst passing on your love of Science and innovation.
