Mayfield is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistant to assist with a Year 9 pupil who will be joining the School in September 2017. The pupil is hearing impaired, so recent experience and a genuine passion for working with this type of special educational need, on a 1:1 basis, is preferred.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Head of Learning Support and subject teachers, to ensure that the pupil accesses the information required to achieve her full potential academically and is fully included in all aspects of School life.
This is a part-time, term-time only position, comprising approximately 20 to 25 working hours per week and funded by the Local Education Authority.
Mayfield is a Catholic independent boarding and day School for 360 girls aged 11-18 years, set in 75 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London, 40 minutes from Gatwick and 15 minutes from the historic town of Tunbridge Wells.
