Salary: £33,940 to £40,191 per annum (FTE £34,722 to £41,116 per annum inclusive of High Cost Area Supplement for Outer London)

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday – Friday, Term Time plus 2 weeks (Part-time, flexible working and/or Job share will be considered)

Location: Addington Valley Academy, Field Way, New Addington, Croydon CR0 9AZ

Newly expanded as an academy trust with an Outstanding Ofsted rating, our friendly and successful Therapy team works in partnership with lecturers/teachers and support staff across all our sites. 

Addington Valley Academy (AVA) is a provision for students with complex needs. All our students have autism and associated social communication, cognitive, sensory, social, emotional, and behavioural needs. They come under the broad description of ‘Severe Learning Difficulties’ (SLD)

We require an Occupational Therapist Specialist to work as part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team (including SALTs, ASD leads, Canine and Music Therapists) to support our learners in accessing all aspects of the curriculum, as well as liaising with parents/carers and other external professionals and agencies. You will work closely with teaching staff, helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives, as well as instructing and supporting teaching staff in delivering therapy programmes and use of specialised equipment. You will also deliver training to other staff.
