Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism. Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development. High Oaks is situated on Gresham Road in a purpose built new school building. New Oaks Primary operates in a newly refurbished building in Woodlands Road Isleworth. Both schools offer state of the art facilities for our students.
We are looking to appoint a qualified speech and language therapist to provide the onsite SALT service for our students. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience of working in a specialist school for young adults who have very complex needs including PMLD, SLD and autism along with NHS Band 6 SALT experience. You will work closely with service providers and parents to ensure that SALT programmes are delivered at school and at home.
Hounslow Local Authority is transforming therapy support for children and young people in Special Schools. Oaklands therapy team are led by a therapy coordinator. The successful candidate will join the therapy team at Oaklands and work across both our 2 sites. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills, and embed yourself in the school community to support our children and young people in achieving the best functional outcomes

We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks).
