Hours: Monday - Friday, term time only

We are looking for a dynamic and self motivated Speech & Language Therapist, either with experience or a newly qualified practitioner. The ideal candidate will work effectively in a team, have excellent organisational skills and demonstrate ability to use their own initiative in what can be a fast paced and changing working environment. The candidate will have a strong desire to develop their skill base within a complex, specialist educational setting, working closely within a multi-disciplinary team with young people aged 7 to 19 years. 

Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/ Sixth Form college, for children and young people with Auttism and related needs.  We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.

The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, person-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential. 

The successful candidate will have ongoing Clinical Supervision with the Lead Speech and Language Therapist and will be expected to run their own caseload, carry out formal and informal assessments and run group and 1-1 sessions, liaising with education staff and the MDT to ensure integrated therapy programmes are delivered.

Newly qualified therapists can work through RCSLT competencies during the first 12 - 24 months to allow them to work towards full RCSLT membership as independent clinicians. All applicants must be a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and have HPC registration.

Please note, it is essential you have your own transport due to the location of the role.
