About the role:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate speech pathology services to promote student communication, learning and well-being outcomes
  • Optimise service outcomes in partnership with school staff and the broader school community
  • Maintain standards of practice and competencies consistent with Speech Pathology Australia and BCE policies and guidelines.

About you:
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and professional capacity to provide evidence-based services that optimise communication, learning and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people with Speech Language Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply this knowledge and expertise within an education context
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated capacity for solutions-focused, flexible and creative thinking
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing self-directed professional growth and development.

Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology (Minimum requirement: Bachelor degree) 
  • Eligibility for Certified Practicing Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Blue Card or QCT registration
