Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for 4 enthusiastic SpLD Assessor Coordinators to join our Inclusive Learning Team at Westminster Kingsway College. The role involves assessing, coordinating, and providing targeted support for students with specific learning difficulties on mainstream study programmes at Levels 1, 2 and 3.
The role requires the candidate to be experienced in supporting students with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and mild autism.
The candidate must hold a Level 7 equivalent qualification in assessing students for access arrangements and a degree or equivalent qualification. The candidate would be at a definite advantage if they also held a Level 5 teaching qualification or a current SPLD Assessment Practising Certificate or both.
Above all, the ideal candidate will have:
- Recent experience of supporting and assessing learners with specific learning difficulties and monitoring progress.
- The ability to foster and promote working relationships with students and the wider team.
Experience of working with mainstream classroom teachers to coordinate support for learners with specific learning difficulties would be a definite advantage.
The role is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
