We are currently looking for a Sports Assistant to join Essendene Lodge School. This is a great opportunity for someone with a sports background. If you are looking to gain experience in a school before teacher training this could be a great introduction to school work.

The successful candidate should be passionate about sports and children’s learning. You will be joining a great school and working alongside our very experienced PE teacher. 

We would like to hear from anyone who has a passion for sport. Having experience of working in a school setting is not essential however would be looked upon favourably. Experience of coaching sport would be an advantage.

This is a Part time role working 2 days a week. The hours are 1:00 – 3:30 on a Tuesday and Friday. 

We would like to hear from you if you are able to enthuse our pupils about Sport and PE. 

As our Sports assistant you will be;

• Working with our pupils and supporting in PE activities.

• Assisting in ensuring that PE lessons are safe, fun and engaging. Providing support as directed by the teacher and allowing pupils to learn in a safe environment.

• Assisting with, planning and preparing for PE lessons with our PE teacher in line with the PE and sports curriculum.

• Maintaining standards within lessons and supporting pupils of all ability. 

• Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety when travelling to and from the different sports facilities.
