Job overview
The Duty Managers play a crucial part in the day to day operations of the Sports Centre and form part of the Sports Centre Team, which is collectively responsible for the effective delivery of a range of services throughout the facilities. The Duty Management Team work within a shift pattern which includes working evenings and weekends.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of the centre, able to supervise staff and achieve the highest customer service standards.
You will have relevant experience in the leisure sector, and have a current NPLQ and swimming teacher qualification. You should have strong people management skills, excellent communication both verbal and written, and be able to respond flexibly to the changing demands of the business.
Salary Range is NJC Points 8 - 20.

Tewkesbury Academy’s last inspection was under the predecessor school in Autumn 2022 – published January 2023 – where the Academy was designated to ‘Requires Improvement’. A year later, and there has been rapid improvement in the key areas of SEND, early reading and behaviour. The staff and leadership teams are engaged in a relentless drive for the Academy to regain Good and then move beyond that to be the great school this community deserves.
