John Lyon is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Sports Coach & PE Technician. This vacancy would suit a Sports Science or Sports Studies graduate or a well-qualified Sports Coach. 

John Lyon is a successful and well regarded independent HMC boys’ school situated in Harrow on the Hill. We have a sports centre on site, which includes an excellent swimming pool and our 25 acre sports ground at Sudbury Playing Fields which includes a state of the art all weather pitch. 

Sports Coach: The successful candidate will possess a high level of playing and/or coaching experience, allowing them to be heavily involved in the extensive extracurricular programme and support the teaching of sport and PE across the curriculum and on match days. PE Technician: They will help deliver some PE lessons and support lunch and after school sports clubs. Administrative support for PE and sports facilities management will be required. Previous experience is not essential for this part of the role but a full UK driving licence is required.

Hours: 40 p/w x 37 weeks (term time + 3 weeks). The successful candidate will be required to attend on weekends throughout the academic year.Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 pa depending on proven skills and abilities.
