Job overview

Sports Graduate & Houseparent

This one-year opportunity is an excellent way to experience residential life at a boarding school, whilst developing your coaching skills. It might also be the perfect way to see if teaching is for you, whilst learning just what boarding school life has to offer.

Lucton is a through school, so sports coaching might be from the Prep School, right through to the Sixth Form, though the boarding house you will live and work in is for junior pupils, aged between 8 and 13 years old.

Lucton's sports facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a 4 badminton court sports hall, tennis courts, playing fields and an equestrian centre.

You will be supporting the Housemistress in the smooth running of the junior boarding house and you will alternate evening duties, plus have every other weekend off and one afternoon off every week.

Lucton School is situated in 55 acres of land in very rural North Herefordshire and is 30 minutes from Hereford, 15 minutes from Leominster and 20 minutes from Ludlow.

At Lucton School, we are committed to the safeguarding of children. Child protection screening will apply to this post.
