Stamford Endowed Schools are offering a fantastic opportunity for a recent Sports Graduate with a specialism in Rugby, Netball, Hockey or  Cricket to join our us for a one to two year programme at Stamford School, beginning September 2021.

We would like to hear from Graduates of the Sports Sciences who are passionate, not just about their subject, but who can also offer  leadership in some element of the schools sporting extracurricular programme, and who are interested in gaining experience in teaching. The Stamford Endowed  Schools will endeavour to support Graduates in their professional development in sports provided within the schools.

The Graduate Teachers will become members of the sports staff, playing a full role in our busy independent day and boarding schools. If, after the first year, a Graduate Teacher wishes to pursue a career in teaching, we will assist and part fund a part-time PGCE (Sport) course, so that they will leave Stamford with enhanced career prospects and the invaluable experience of teaching and living in a busy independent school.

At the end of the two year post we would normally expect Graduate Teachers to further their careers in other schools. However, should a  position arise within the Stamford schools then we would be happy to consider an application.
