Stamford (Resident) Graduate Teacher Development Programme
Stamford Endowed Schools are offering a fantastic opportunity for a recent Sports Graduate to join us for a two year programme, beginning September 2018.
We would like to hear from Graduates from the Sports Sciences who are passionate, not just about their subject, but who can also offer leadership in some element of the schools sporting extracurricular programme, and who are interested in gaining experience in teaching. The Stamford Endowed Schools will endeavour to support Graduates in their professional development in sports provided within the schools.
The Graduate Teacher will become a member of the academic staff, playing a full role in our busy independent day and boarding schools. If, after the first year, a Graduate Assistant wishes to pursue a career in teaching, we will assist and offer funding support for a part-time PGCE/IPGCE course at the University of Buckingham, so that they will leave Stamford with enhanced career prospects and the invaluable experience of teaching and living in a busy independent school.
At the end of the two year post we would normally expect Graduate Teachers to further their careers in other schools. However, should a position arise within the Stamford schools then we would be happy to consider an application.
Candidates should download the application form and send the completed form to Kay Rainsby, Head of HR at firstname.lastname@example.org. For further information please email email@example.com or call the HR Office on 01780 484267/273.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Mark Nasey, Director of Sport and Perfomance via email in the first instance on firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for application is Friday 25 May 12 noon (Please note: this date has been amended from the date published in the applicant pack.)
The Stamford Endowed Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
