This is a non-teaching school support staff position.
You will provide efficient and effective support both to the community lettings business (High Leisure) and the PE Curriculum Team. You will, in particular, ensure the effective management of equipment and the setting up and general preparation of sports areas.
Sports Support team members will be required to work on a shift basis in order to cover both curriculum and High Leisure use 7 days per week.
- To provide assistance to community facility users and give all users the best possible experience whilst using the facilities.
- To support PE teaching staff in the delivery of learning that is to be facilitated by the use of specialist technical equipment.
- To develop technical expertise relating to equipment housed in the fitness suite, carrying out basic maintenance as required, calling in specialist support as necessary and ensuring that cleanliness and hygienic conditions are maintained at the highest level.
- To conduct a daily monitoring of all sports areas to ensure that all are properly maintained and ready for use.
