Salary Grade NJC Grade 4 (£18,426 - £19,171)
37 hours per week all year round, including evenings & weekends on a shift system,
Operating within the school’s support staff structure, to provide efficient and effective support to the PE Curriculum Team and the Community Lettings Manager, the post holder will, in particular, support the team by ensuring the effective management of equipment and the setting up and general preparation of sports areas.
Sports Support Department team members will be in order to cover both curriculum and community facility (‘High Leisure’) use 7 days per week.
• To provide assistance to community facility users and give all users the best possible experience whilst using the facilities.
• To support PE teaching staff in the delivery of learning that is to be facilitated by the use of specialist technical equipment.
• To develop technical expertise relating to equipment housed in the fitness suite, carrying out basic maintenance as required, calling in specialist support as necessary and ensuring that cleanliness and hygienic conditions are maintained at the highest level.
• To conduct a daily monitoring of all sports areas to ensure that all are properly maintained and ready for use.
