Wetherby Kensington is currently looking for a highly motivated, talented, dynamic and ambitious part time sports teacher to join our team as soon as possible.

The Role

The sports teacher will work in conjunction with our Head of Sport and will help to embed a culture where boys can enjoy physical activity both in competitive and friendly sports. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s vision and values. The successful candidate will be a supportive member of the sports department and wider school staff and will help ensure the success of Wetherby Kensington as a leading independent school in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine commitment to encouraging life-long participation in sport as well as the ability to teach PE, games, swimming and other sporting opportunities across all year groups

Experience of teaching in the Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2 is essential. The ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning as well as having the skills required to take on the teaching duties and responsibilities in a new school is essential.

School

Wetherby Kensington is a two form, non-selective, pre-preparatory school for boys from Reception to Year 3. It follows exactly the same curriculum and shares the same values and ethos as Wetherby School and is an integral part of the Wetherby Group of schools. Boys at Wetherby Kensington receive very high levels of academic education and pastoral care. Wetherby Kensington is part of the Alpha Plus Group of schools, which is one of the country's leading educational groups.

The position will be for Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 1.30pm until 3.30pm, from 10am until 2.30pm on a Wednesday and from 10.30am until 3.30pm on a Thursday.
