The successful applicant will:

  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking two School Officers to work 20 hours each per week in supporting our learners in Years 1 to 6 at St Brigid's Catholic Primary School. Each of these positions will encompass a diverse range of tasks within our classroom settings. The successful applicant will display proven communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of an engaging approach to education. An ability to show initiative in working collaboratively as part of a team, building relational trust and a commitment to the Catholic Ethos of St Brigid's Primary School is essential.


St Brigid's School is a co-educational Catholic Primary School situated in Nerang in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, with an approximate enrolment of 410 students. The School was established in 1994 and is named after St. Brigid, one of the Patron Saints of Ireland. The St Brigid’s Way - Making Christ Present is in honour of St. Brigid. Through our curriculum and courses, celebration and worship rituals, our cultivation of the aesthetics and Religious Education program, we attempt as a School to give witness to the essential wholeness of the human experience - social, moral, physical, spiritual and intellectual development.

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only - holidays unpaid

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   11 months

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   20 hours per week - required to work 4 hours each day for 5 school days.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Level 2

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
