St Peter Chanel School, The Gap is seeking a Primary Learning Leader (PLL) who is a dedicated professional and possesses a personal and professional commitment to support the engagement, learning progress and achievement of students in our school. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment, with an initial three-year appointment as PLL. A subsequent three-year appointment as PLL will be offered following a successful performance review. As PLL you will play a key role with leadership and staff in strategizing and achieving school learning goals. The role focus would include the following: overseeing the monitoring of learning progress and achievement of each student in the school against the Achievement Standards using relevant and appropriate learning and teaching data; initiating and coordinating enhancement in teaching using evidence based practices that improve the impact of teaching on each student’s learning progress and achievement; leading, coordinating and modelling curriculum implementation and development of pedagogy and assessment skills; promoting effective teaching and improved achievement across all curriculum areas, demonstrating knowledge, understanding and skill in the teaching of literacy and numeracy in alignment with the Australian Curriculum and BCE strategies. This position will commence in January 2020. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment, with an initial three-year appointment as Primary Learning Leader. St Peter Chanel is situated in The Gap and draws on the traditions and ethos of the Marist fathers and the Sisters of Charity who founded our school. The school is set in beautiful grounds and is well resourced. We provide an inclusive curriculum and environment that caters for approximately 370 from Prep to Year 6.
