Who we are looking for:

You will:
· To provide professional development to staff within School
· Deliver training locally
· Administer the running of courses locally
· In consultation with Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead ensure compliance to Annex C of KCSIE
Additional Responsibilities:
· Assist SMT & managers in identifying team and individual learning needs, and draw up training plans
· Ensure that statutory requirements are met for induction.
· Coordinate, implement and monitor staff induction & CPD
· Support the implementation of the NAS Academy liaising with the autism practice facilitator as appropriate
· Plan and deliver training programmes as required
· Research local training provision
· Ensure staff have access to relevant e-learning systems
· Maintain accurate records and report on the quality, validity and effectiveness of development activities
· Liaise with relevant internal and external training and qualification providers
· Support in driving and assisting managers in ensuring the continued achievement of the IIP standards
· Continuously update own knowledge and practice
· Provide input into the local training budget
· Purchasing and organising venues and equipment
· Organise and coordinate INSET programmes
· In consultation and with the agreement of the school's Senior Safeguarding Lead work with Social Services and other agencies involved in Child Protection cases, attending relevant meetings and conferences which will include Child Protection Case Conferences, Strategy meetings, core group meetings, professionals’ meetings, Child in Need reviews and Looked After Children Reviews. To contribute comprehensive reports and be able to act as a link between both Social Services and Educational Assessments with a clear understanding of both services and how they relate to special needs.
About Sybil Elgar School
The Sybil Elgar School was opened by The National Autistic Society (NAS) in 1965. From its early beginnings of nine pupils/students in one building, it now has the facility to take up to 72 pupils/students as day or weekly boarders, aged 11-19+. The residential accommodation is based in Florence Road, Ealing and the educational provision is in Havelock Road, Southall.
The residential students are coached to and from Corfton Road with the Residential Social Workers and/or Classroom Assistants acting as escorts. Both complexes are easily accessible by public transport.
