Taipei European School is looking for an innovative and passionate teacher with a deep interest in curriculum design. The successful candidate will launch our new, bespoke interdisciplinary subject offering which is centred around Big Ideas, STEAM, Exploration and Design. Ongoing development of this progressive interdisciplinary curriculum, as well as informing the design and enhancement of new Makerspace facilities will form part of the role. The successful candidate would, initially, be expected to teach another subject as part of their remit. Candidates with the ability to teach Mathematics, Physics and/or Computer Science may have an advantage in the selection process.
Students of the British Secondary and High School follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, and then complete Cambridge IGCSEs before moving on to the IB Diploma. The majority of students are multilingual and represent a range of diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate a collaborative approach to teaching and learning, and be flexible and committed to accommodating the needs of our student body. Our students achieve excellent academic outcomes with many going on to study at some of the best universities in the world.
