We are currently seeking a passionate and talented Primary School STEAM Lead (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) to join our Primary Section. This is a dynamic and strategic role responsible for championing, developing, and overseeing the integration of STEAM across the entire Primary phase (EYFS to Year 6).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality learning experiences in an international context. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in enriching students’ lives beyond the classroom through world-class wellbeing and co-curricular programmes.

Key Responsibilities

As the Primary School STEAM Lead, you will:

• Curriculum Development: Design, document, and implement a progressive, cross-curricular STEAM curriculum framework from EYFS through to Year 6, ensuring alignment with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

• Instructional Leadership: Drive innovation by promoting inquiry-based, cross-curricular teaching and regularly model outstanding STEAM practice for colleagues.

• Learning Spaces: Work with school leadership to design and develop dedicated, flexible, and inspiring STEAM spaces (e.g., Maker Spaces, Design Labs) that facilitate project-based learning.

• Staff Training: Design and deliver mandatory, ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for all Primary staff on STEAM pedagogy and resource utilisation.

• Student Wellbeing & Enrichment: Put student wellbeing at the heart of all you do , and contribute to the holistic development of students through active participation in co-curricular programmes.

• Resource & Budget Management: Strategically manage the procurement and deployment of appropriate, high-quality STEAM resources (e.g., robotics kits, 3D printers) and oversee the dedicated STEAM budget.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related Education field (required).

• A minimum of 2 years of outstanding teaching experience, ideally within a British international school and Primary setting (Year 1-6).

• Demonstrable expertise in Science, Technology, or Engineering, and a deep understanding of inquiry-based learning.

• Experience in curriculum writing and implementation across multiple grade levels is highly desirable.

• Strategic and successful experience in procurement, budget management, and resource negotiation is essential.

• Strong command of the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
