The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) is a 2-19 generic special school with 435 pupils on roll. The East SILC is a complex organisation which operates on a variety of sites to provide a range of outreach services across the city, including partnerships with primary and secondary providers, the city-wide Physical Difficulties and Medical Service including a moving and handling service, as well as the Medical Needs Teaching Service for Leeds.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding school community.

To support the Head of School at John Jamieson to deliver outstanding learning experiences for all our young people at a new Post 16 provision at The Bridge Community Church. The role will require the post-holder to be instrumental in implementing an effective PfA curriculum for students operating between Entry 1 and Entry 3 and ensuring there are strong links between our High School settings to secure smooth transition, as well as developing positive community links within the locale of the setting.

As part of this role it is expected that the post-holder will contribute to the monitoring of school systems and organisation as agreed by the Head of School and will be responsive and proactive in ensuring that monitoring is effective in promoting the development of our provision. They will act as a role model through exemplary classroom practice and supporting whole school initiatives under the direction of the John Jamieson Head of School, alongside the Head of School at the Roger Cannon site and Temple Moor partnership lead.
