Royal Russell School educates over 1000 girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18 and is situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon, only 30 minutes from Central London.  We have over 180 boarding students in the Senior School and are proud of our state of the art day and boarding facilities as well as the warm pastoral provision provided by our Housemasters and Housemistresses.  Our pupils, parents and staff experience a warm and friendly environment with strong pastoral care for every pupil alongside a comprehensive co-curricular and enrichment programme. We are looking for a proactive Strength and conditioning Coach to lead our programme who can ensure high quality sessions are delivered to our students. You should have strong organisational skills and be happy to work on your own and as part of a team to a high standard. You will be emphatic and understanding of the fast paced and constantly changing landscape within a sporting environment at an energetic independent school.  

You will support the Director of Sport, Health & Fitness and his department which includes 6 Sport & PE Teachers, post-graduate students and specialist coaches in each of the main sports (Girls and Boys Football, Netball, Hockey, Basketball, Trampoline and Cricket). Your main focus will be on supporting the provision of strength and conditioning to all of our students. You should be able to demonstrate a professional, helpful and customer-focused approach, have excellent interpersonal skills to foster good working relationships with staff, pupils, other schools and parents to effectively promote Sport.  You will be proficient on Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and be a fast and accurate typist able to accurately input information to School systems. 

The expected core working hours will be from 12noon to 6.00pm on a Monday to Wednesday 4-6pm Thursday and Friday each week during term-time plus 2 hours on Saturday mornings (36 weeks per year). Other hours may be available up to 30 per week.
