St Pius X is a Roman Catholic independent school for boys first established in 1937. Located in a suburb of Sydney, Australia, St Pius X is a secondary school providing places to around 1100 boys aged 10-18. In the decades since its founding, the school has expanded and invested heavily, and as a result is able to boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, including numerous modern classrooms, extensive musical facilities and performing arts areas, and multiple different sports facilities. Catholic traditions underpin a great deal of the school’s ethos, in keeping with its founding principles, and as a result St Pius X works hard to ensure that each of its students is given the proper attention and recognition of their innate individual talents and interests. The school operates a non-selective selection policy, and follows the standard Australian curriculum with a wide variety of different subjects to choose from. Outside the classroom, boys at the school have a great deal of extra-curricular activities to choose from including competitive sports opportunities, robotics, the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, and a debating society.
