This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College. 

In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based HR Team.

This role is pro rata, so the salary you will be receiving is £20,736.96 per annum.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

The counselling provision at Warwickshire College Group is part of the Student Services directorate providing a range of services to support student recruitment, retention, achievement, welfare and progression across all seven colleges. 

The services provided by Student Services Directorate include:

  • Careers, education and information, advice and guidance 
  • Cross college induction programme
  • Financial advice and hardship funds administration
  • Information on childcare, accommodation and general support issues
  • Health, welfare and counselling support
  • Pre-enrolment and on-programme information, advice and guidance
  • Resources and support for the college tutorial system
  • Students’ Union and Learner Voice support
  • Student recreational activities
  • Access to residential provision
  • Access to Early Years (Nursery) provision


PLACE OF WORK

The principal place of work will be the College’s premises based at our Royal Leamington Spa College. However, the post holder may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises at which we may provide services.

Please note that you will also cover our Warwick Trident college as well. 

Essential Attainments:

✓ Diploma in Counselling, or equivalent qualification

✓ Post qualification experience of counselling or working with young people

✓ Full Level 3 qualification

Desirable Attainments:

✓Experience of working with people of all ages

✓Awareness of the personal issues that can affect those studying

 ✓Experience of triaging cases and managing priorities

✓Experience of collaborative work with outside agencies

✓Achieved or working towards BACP accreditation
