Job overview

We wish to appoint 2 Student Counsellors, each working 3 days a week, to increase the support on offer to our students. Working as part of our enthusiastic, collaborative and supportive Inclusion Team, you will provide students aged 11 – 16 with practical solution-focussed counselling on a time-limited basis. You will work with a wide range of issues including bereavement and loss, transition, eating disorders and self-harm, depression and anger management, abuse of any kind, anxiety and fears.

The successful candidate will have, or be working towards, BACP accreditation. You will be an excellent communicator, building effective relationships with staff, students and parents / carers and have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

There is also the opportunity to increase to working 5 days a week across the Federation.

You will share our ethos that disadvantage need not be a barrier to academic achievement and success for all.

Hours: 21 hours a week, 39 weeks a year
