We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Student Engagement team working closely with our students and staff where you will support the work of the broader Student Services team to deliver an outstanding programme of support services.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the student social space, planning and delivery of a cross college events and activities as part of the Student Liaison Team, and responsible for facilitating students to engage in extracurricular activities and student voice sessions.  

The role will also be responsible for a small case load of students delivering targeted support interventions on a one-to-one basis and will lead on an exciting new student mentor programme.  The post holder will need to work closely with curriculum teams and other support teams to provide effective support strategies to help students to improve their attendance and behaviour; maximising student retention and achievement.  

Excellent communication skills, a creative and innovative approach, the ability to build professional relationships with students, alongside a genuine desire to improve the outcomes of young people and adults are essential.  Previous experience in a youth work role is desirable but not essential.
