London's leading College is looking for an exceptional Student Support Officer to join its Business Support Team Team. 

About the role:

You will be required to administer a range of financial support schemes as part of the College's support for students. This will include but not be limited to, Discretionary Learner Support Funds (DLS), guaranteed Bursaries and funds made available through charities, local councils and other organisations

The suitable candidate would be able to provide advice and guidance to students, parents and carers and College staff members and liaise with external organisations and agencies including the Education funding bodies.

About you:

You will have a good understanding of the further education funding methodology in relation to student retention, an understanding of work within a College or a financial support department. As well as, knowledge of the factors which present barriers to learning for students from low income households

A team player, you will be committed to respecting the differences in others, establishing and maintaining good working relationships in the workplace. In addition to, significant experience of working in an administrative capacity in a customer facing role, preferably within an educational environment.
