Learner Services & Marketing Department – Broadwater Campus

We are seeking a responsible Student Liaison & Security Officer to work at our Broadwater Campus to ensure the student code of conduct is adhered to by building professional relationships with learners to maintain standards of behaviour.

Your main duties will be to provide a welcoming and courteous setting for learners, staff and visitors, promoting and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. You will regularly undertake patrols of the campus and grounds and will be expected to be pro-active, tactful and diplomatic when dealing with any incidents and issues, as required.

You will require an appropriate qualification in a relevant security or customer-care field (or be working towards). You will also need to demonstrate recent experience of working with young people with challenging behaviours and also have experience of working in a security or relevant related role. You will need to be self-motivated, confident and have excellent communication skills.

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.
