The Chiltern Hills Academy invites applications for an exciting opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy in the Chiltern Hills, conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.

We are seeking to appoint a Student Progress Keyworker to support the Senior Leadership Team in the delivery of provision for disadvantaged students. The Student Progress Keyworker will be responsible for helping to improve the progress of disadvantaged students by making a significant impact to raising the achievement of these students.

The ability to establish good relationships with children whilst setting firm boundaries is essential to this role, as are excellent listening and interpersonal skills when dealing with students, colleagues, parents/carers. The role would suit degree educated candidates that may be looking to move into teaching who we could support via an ITT course or qualified teachers that are seeking a different role.

We are about to embark on the next stage of our school development to accommodate growing numbers and add to our well-resourced teaching environment. “Leaders know their school well” our OFSTED inspection recognised (February 2017) and further judged the school to be ‘good’ in all categories. “Staff, pupils and parents fully support the headteacher’s vision and would recommend this school to other parents”. “Pupils have embraced the school’s values and ethos. As a result they behave well in lessons and the school is calm and orderly”.

We would be pleased to show prospective applicants around the Academy.  Please contact Mrs Mistry (HR Administrator) to arrange a visit. Details of the post are on our website, together with an application form. Completed applications should be submitted to Mrs Jo Mistry, by email jmistry@chacademy.co.uk and should include a l etter indicating your strengths for this position.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All staff appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Closing Date: Midday, Wednesday 18 September 2019
Interviews: Week commencing 23 September 2019
