The Apprentice Welfare and Wellbeing Admin support role will support the co-ordination and delivery of support arrangements across the College. This role will work closely with the safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing manager, college safeguarding officers, mental health advisors, counsellors, curriculum and support staff, external agencies, and students in order to maintain a culture of vigilance and responsibility, maintaining the safest and most supportive possible environment at City of Liverpool College.

The Apprentice welfare and wellbeing Admin support worker will support the work of the College’s Safeguarding Leads and be responsible for: Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, the Prevent Duty, co-ordinating and delivering awareness raising events, responding to welfare and wellbeing cases and supporting the team around meetings, systems of work including multiagency meetings, student communication and to keep students safe and ensure support is appropriate.

The post-holder will work towards a Level 3 in Business Administrator Standard and be trained to provide professional administrative support.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
