About the position

We are now seeking a Student Services Officer to join our Sunshine Coast campus in a full-time capacity.

As Student Services Officer, you will provide an exceptional frontline experience, providing support to young people through their journey with the AITC. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Compilation and distribution of class lists and groups, timetables, monitoring role call and reporting absentees, leave requests, course completion, academic reporting and assessments. 
  • Developing authentic relationships with young people, families and community members to champion the delivery of the College vision and culture. 
  • Delivering on-time and accurate student service administration. 
  • Proactively recognising young people’s needs and identify appropriate solutions, particularly with respect to a young person’s safety, wellbeing and health (including medical conditions and first aid issues). 
  • Providing administration support.

Skills and experience

The following qualifications and experience are essential for this position:  

  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Current valid Working with Children Blue Card 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 
  • A consistently strong client focus when completing daily tasks 
  • High level of organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction 
  • A high level of attention to detail 
  • Right to work in Australia

Desirable: 

  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate 
  • Qualification in administration 
  • TASS school management system experience 
  • Education sector experience
